Windy City ThunderBolts News Release
Crestwood, Ill. - The Windy City ThunderBolts have acquired outfielder David Gresky from the Sioux Falls Canaries in exchange for a player to be named.
After finishing his college career at Northwestern, the Chicago Cubs in the 39th round of the 2003 draft selected Gresky. He played two seasons for the Cubs single-A affiliate in Boise, Idaho of the Northwest league. The 6-3 210 Gresky is a native of Berea, Ohio.
David Gresky and the 27 other ThunderBolts on the Spring Training roster will be traveling to Rockford for an exhibition doubleheader against the Riverhawks. The first pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm at Marinelli Field.
The ThunderBolts start the regular season at home on May 25 at 7:05pm. Tickets are still available.
The Windy City ThunderBolts are a member of the 12-team Frontier League. The Frontier League is an independent league with franchises throughout the upper Midwest.
