Washington Wild Things News Release
Washington, PA â The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, beat the Chillicothe Paints 8-3 Friday in a pre-season exhibition at Falconi Field.
John Massarelli, field manager watched three pitchers take the mound. BJ Borsa (RHP) pitched four innings, allowing five hits, three runs, two earned. Aaron Gangi (LHP) followed Borsa in the fifth, allowing two hits and no runs while striking our four in four innings. Jim Popp pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning to complete the game.
The Wild Things broke the game open in the third inning when they scored five runs.
Ryan McGraw went three for three with a walk and two stolen bases. Third baseman TJ Graves was two for three with a walk and two RBI. Randy McGarvey went two for two.
The Wild Things meet the Paints again tomorrow for a double header. The first game gets underway at 4:00 and game two is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
The Wild Things open the 2005 regular season at home against the Ohio Valley Red Coats May 25. The team will host the Red Coats and the Roosters for three games each in a six game homestand. Tickets are still available.
