EVANSVILLE, IN - Evansville traveled to Peoria tonight for the final two games of their five-game road trip. Evansville plays Peoria Saturday night as well. Evansville began the road trip last week with two wins in Roanoke. They now have back-to-back losses against Fayetteville (November 20th) and Peoria.

Both teams could only generate a total of 11 shots in the first period. The Rivermen scored two goals on their seven shots. They never relinquished the lead. Mike Doan started in goal for the Thunderbolts. Doan is now 4-2-1 this season playing games for Evansville and Knoxville.

The Thunderbolts trailed 4-0 after the second period. They gave up a third period tally before getting on the scoreboard. Garrett Vermeersch scored his second goal of the season assisted by Justin McDonald and Josh Elmes. Ryan Patsch scored at the 13:09 point. Josh Elmes and Mike Radisa assisted on the goal.

THUNDERBOLTS ACES

Josh Elmes, acquired Wednesday from Fayetteville, had 2 assists, 4 PIMs and a +2 rating.

Justin MacDonald had an assist and led the team with four shots.

WEEKEND PREVIEW

The Thunderbolts play Peoria again tomorrow Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Peoria Civic Center. Peoria (7-3-2) is coming off an 8-2 romp against the Thunderbolts on Friday, Nov. 25.
