Thunderbirds Sign G Alex Sakellaropoulous to PTO

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Thunderbirds announced on Friday that they have signed goaltender Alex Sakellaropoulous to a PTO.
The 24-year-old native of Tinley Park, Ill. has appeared in 31 games this season with the ECHL's Adirondack Thunder and accumulated a 19-5-1 record. He has posted a 2.38 goals-against average and .919 save percentage to go along with three shutouts.
Prior to turning pro in 2017, Sakellaropoulous skated for Union College from 2013 to 2017 and was a member of Union's National Championship winner in 2013-14.
