
Monsters Sign Forward Greg Wolfe to PTO Contract

CLEVELAND - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters announced Friday that the team signed forward Greg Wolfe to a 25-game professional tryout (PTO) contract. A 5'10", 185 lb. right-handed native of Canton, MI, Wolfe, 28, appeared in two games for the AHL's Binghamton Devils this season and added 18-30-48 with 24 penalty minutes and a -2 rating in 55 appearances for the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.
Wolfe posted 2-2-4 with four penalty minutes and an even rating in 25 career AHL appearances for the Iowa Wild, Albany Devils and Binghamton spanning parts of four seasons from 2014-19 and added 73-114-187 with 80 penalty minutes and a +33 rating in 229 ECHL appearances for the Reading Royals, Alaska Aces, Adirondack Thunder and Toledo spanning parts of five seasons from 2014-19.
Prior to his professional career, Wolfe contributed 35-54-89 with 59 penalty minutes and a -5 rating in 147 NCAA appearances for Michigan State University spanning four seasons from 2010-14, serving as the Spartans' captain from 2012-14. In 98 USHL appearances for the Chicago Steel and Omaha Lancers spanning two seasons from 2008-10, Wolfe tallied 45-34-79 with 37 penalty minutes and a +22 rating.
Wolfe additionally logged 16-17-33 with six penalty minutes and a +20 rating in 26 appearances for Norway's Sparta Sarpsborg during the 2017-18 campaign.
