Belleville Senators News Release

The set-up

The Belleville Senators will look to rebound Friday night against the Cleveland Monsters after having its 17-game point streak snapped the night before.

Belleville (30-24-3-4) still sits in a playoff spot after Thursday's loss but has now played one game more than Utica who they remain tied on points with at 67.

Cleveland (28-25-6-1) gained ground on Belleville with Thursday's win and now trail the Senators by four points, and have a game in hand.

Roster notes

No official word yet on who starts in goal again tonight for the Senators although Marcus Hogberg starting his 11th straight game seems the likely choice.

Andrew Sturtz and Morgan Klimchuk are out for Belleville.

Previous history

In six contests this season, Belleville are 2-3-0-1 against Cleveland. The Senators are 0-3 at Quicken Loans Arena this year and tonight is their final visit to The Q this season.

Who to watch

Nick Paul had a goal Thursday, maintaining his point-per-game pace with 28 points (13 goals) in 28 games.

Nikita Korostelev has three goals this season but two have been game-winners against Belleville as he had the deciding goal Thursday night. Korostelev has 10 points in 23 games this season.

Where to watch

Friday's game starts at 7:00pm and can also be seen on AHLTV. Fans can also watch tonight's contest at Shoeless Joe's in Belleville.

The radio broadcast on CJBQ 800 begins at 6:50pm with Jack Miller on the call.
