THUNDER SWEEP MAVS- Wichita was coming off a tough weekend on the road, gaining just a point in a shootout loss to Quad City. The task this past week was three-straight games in three days against arch-rival, Missouri. On Friday, former Boston Bruins draft pick Kevin Regan shined in net, making 25 saves and earned his second pro shutout of his career with the 3-0 win against the Mavericks. The Thunder then headed north to take on Missouri in their home-opener. The two teams traded early goals before the Thunder came out victorious with a 6-4 road win. On Sunday afternoon, Wichita closed out their three-game stretch at home against the Mavericks and needed a come-from-behind win in overtime to claim the weekend sweep of Missouri.
