BLAZERS SHOCK THUNDER- The Blazers fought back from a 4-0 lead, taking a 5-4 shootout win at the Kansas Coliseum on Tuesday. Rookie Kris Wiebe led the Thunder with a Gordie Howe Hat Trick. The two teams combined for 235 penalty minutes, the ninth time in the history of the rivals that they have combined for over 200 penalty minutes in a game.

THUNDER POUNDS HOUNDS- The Thunder blew open a 2-1 game with three straight goals, taking a 5-2 win over the expansion Youngstown SteelHounds, in the first ever meeting between the two teams on Thursday. Kris Wiebe again scored a goal and two assists, while rookie Chris Bain added his first professional goal.

GORILLAS EDGE THUNDER- The Gorillas jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held on for a 4-2 victory on Friday in Amarillo. Tab Lardner scored both Thunder goals, one shorthanded and one on the power play.

BLAZERS BEAT THUNDER IN SHOOTOUT AGAIN- The Thunder let a 3-1 lead slip away, eventually dropping a 5-4 shootout decision in Oklahoma City on Saturday. Joe Blaznek, Ryan Fairbarn, Kris Wiebe and Tab Lardner scored Wichita's goals, while Ryan McLean was the only Thunder shooter to notch a shootout goal.

ROSTER MOVES- The Thunder added forward Scott Rozendal on Saturday and traded defenseman Brandon Cox to the Austin Ice Bats for future considerations. Rozendal made his Thunder debut in Oklahoma City, notching an assist, four shots on goal and four penalty minutes. Veteran center Travis Clayton was placed on 14-day injured reserve on Wednesday after suffering an illegal blow to the head by Oklahoma City's Tyler Fleck. Fleck, who was given a match penalty, was suspended by the CHL for 10 games. Clayton, who still ranks fifth in the CHL with 44 points, has missed the last three games and will miss all three games this weekend as well.

ALL-STAR BLAZNEK- Veteran Joe Blaznek was named a Northern Conference starter for the 2005 CHL All-Star Game, which will take place on Wednesday, January 18th in Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Blaznek ranks second in the CHL with 47 points and leads the CHL with 26 goals, 15 power play goals and seven game-winners. It is Blaznek's second ever CHL All-Star selection. The reserves will be named later today.

DECEMBER ATTENDANCE- The Thunder enjoyed a tremendous month of December at the gates, drawing over 35,000 fans over seven home games. The Thunder capped off the week with two tremendous weekday crowds last week of 7,156 and 6,239, two of the biggest weeknight crowds since the 1998-99 season. Overall, the Thunder drew their most fans for a December, since the 1994-95 season.

THUNDERBOLTS- Jason Duda ranks third in the CHL with 47 points and leads the CHL with 33 assists...Daniel Tetrault ranks fourth among CHL defensemen with 29 points...Wichita leads the CHL with 48 power play goals and is second with 10 shorthanded goals...Rookie Chris Bain leads the CHL with 16 major penalties...The Thunder are 0-3 in shootouts this season and are just 2-12 in shootout attempts.
