
Parsons joins Landmesser on All-Star team

SOUTHAVEN --- The Central Hockey League announced the remainder of the All-Star Game rosters today and RiverKings veteran Don Parsons was selected to participate in his sixth consecutive CHL mid-season classic. The 2006 CHL All-Star Game is set for January 18 in Hidalgo, Texas. This will mark the fourth straight season that Parsons and Landmesser will head to the game together. Landmesser was announced as a starter last Friday.
Parsons will enter the 2006 game as the all-time All-Star Game goal scoring leader with 7. He also shares the overall scoring lead with Colorado's Greg Pankewicz with 13 points.
This season, Parsons is third on the team with 25 points and tied for third with 10 goals. Earlier this season, the 14 year pro added the franchise's games played list to his collection of RiverKings records. Last season, Parsons led not only the CHL, but all of North American professional hockey with 55 goals.

The RiverKings are playing at Fort Worth tonight before returning home for two games this weekend, Friday with Oklahoma City and Saturday with Bossier-Shreveport.
