Wichita Thunder News Release
THUNDER POWER PLAY BEATS MUDBUGS- The Thunder jumped out to a 4-0 lead on the strength of three power play goals, en route to a 4-2 victory at Bossier-Shreveport on Thursday. THUNDER COMEBACK SILENCES BLAZERS AGAIN- Trailing 3-0 late in the second period, the Thunder exploded for four straight goals, knocking off the Blazers 4-3 on Friday in a penalty-filled affair. Les Hrapchak scored the game-winning goal with just over five minutes remaining. Goaltender Jason Flick recorded the victory in relief, stopping all 10 shots faced. The two teams combined for 116 penalty minutes. The Thunder have now beaten the Blazers six straight times.

They also lead the CHL with two GWG each.
SUFFOCATING DEFENSE- The Thunder are allowing a CHL-low 1.71 goals per game and have allowed just seven even-strength goals in seven games. Rookie Jason Flick leads the entire CHL with a miniscule 0.77 goals against average and a phenomenal .966 save percentage.
