Gorillas game in San Angelo rescheduled due to ice problems

San Angelo, TX – The Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey announced today that their game tomorrow (Tuesday) versus the San Angelo Saints has been rescheduled due to an ice plant malfunction over the weekend at the San Angelo Coliseum. It will be rescheduled and announced within the next 14 days.

"It is unfortunate that we have to reschedule the game," stated Saints President and General Manager James Cook. "It is in the best interest of the Saints as well as Amarillo."

The Amarillo Gorillas won't play until this Friday night when they travel to Odessa to face the Jackalopes at Ector County Coliseum at 7 p.m. Fans can listen to the game live on 1550 Am The Zone, beginning with the Farmer's Insurance Group Warm Up Show at 6:40 p.m. Play-by-play coverage of Amarillo Gorillas Hockey Presented by Bank of America faces off at 7 p.m.

On Saturday night the Gorillas will face the defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks at the Laredo Entertainment Center. It's the first time the two teams have met since their Southern Conference Championship series confrontation last season. The game can be heard live on 1440 Am the Score, the official flagship station of the Amarillo Gorilals, beginning with the Farmer's insurance Group Warm Up Show at 7:10 p.m. Amarillo Gorillas Hockey Presented by Bank of America starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Gorillas are 2-2-2 following two losses to Southwest Division rivals over the weekend. Amarillo lost 4-3 in overtime to the San Angelo Saints. Derek Hahn, Ben Gustavson and Brent Hughes tallied for the Gorillas. The night previous, the Gorillas were beaten 3-2 in a shootout by the Odessa Jackalopes. Goals for the Gorillas came off the sticks off Mark DeSantis and Tyler Butler.
