Thunder Releases Five

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder released five players today, bringing their training camp roster to 22.

The Thunder waived forwards Tanner Fogarty and Ryan MacGregor, defensemen Cory Graboski and Brett Needham, as well as local goaltender Jordan Doshier. The Thunder expects to announce additional player signings later this week, but still must get their roster down to 19 by opening night.

The Thunder will head to Idaho the rest of the week for a pair of exhibition games on Friday and Saturday versus former Thunder head coach Derek Laxdal's ECHL Champion Idaho Steelheads. Wichita defeated the Tulsa Oilers 3-2 in a shootout last night at the sold out Wichita Ice Center.

The Thunder will open their 16th CHL season at home on Saturday, October 20th versus the Oklahoma City Blazers. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at the Kansas Coliseum.
