Breakdown:

Tonight marks the first test for the 07-08 Hounds as they take on the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL in a preseason match-up. Last season saw both teams qualify for the playoffs in their respective leagues. The new Hounds will be looking at their new talent including defenseman and Bethel Park, Pennsylvania native Denis Kirstein as well as forward Bryan Lachapelle who came over from Tulsa in the off-season to produce the spark tonight. The Chiefs will be led by veteran Dmitri Tarabrin who is in his ninth season in Johnstown and 11th overall. The 5-8, 180-pound forward enters the season with 123 goals and 173 assists for his career. Tonight marks the third time that the Hounds have played a preseason game against an ECHL opponent. The Hounds are 1-0-1 in the previous match-ups against Toledo and Dayton. The Hounds will be home this Friday when they take on the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL in another preseason contest at 7:05. Tickets are available for $5 by calling the Hounds at (330) 747-PUCK.
