BOSSIER CITY, LA- The Wichita Thunder lost 1-0 to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at the Century Tel Center on Friday night. After both defenses kept the opposition off the scoreboard in the first period, Tyrel Lucas ripped a shot past Krister Toews on a slot feed from Joe Ori at 1:46 in the second period, giving the Mudbugs a 1-0 lead. Lucas's goal proved to be the only one of the game for either side.

Toews, who turned 26 on Friday, saved 25 of 26 in the tough loss. Ken Carroll earned the shutout win for the Mudbugs, saving 27 of 27. Wichita went 0 for 5 on the power play while going 5 for 5 on the penalty kill. The win for the Mudbugs gave them a sweep of the season series for a second straight year, and was their 10th straight regulat season win against the Thunder. Scott Rozendal, in his second game returning from the 30-Day IR, earned a fighting major against Bugs' captain Chris Brassard.
