Stockton Thunder News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. ¬" The Stockton Thunder, a two-time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," announced limited edition autographed artwork featuring Thunder players will be available for bidding at a special silent auction event at the Thunder's Saturday, Dec. 11 home game against the Utah Grizzlies at Stockton Arena, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Framed and matted individual player "caricature" artwork drawn by Alexis Villanueva and autographed by each Thunder player will be displayed on the Fan Deck of Stockton Arena. Bids will be accepted for each piece starting when doors open to Stockton Arena at 6:30 p.m.
The artwork features a likeness of and is individually autographed by each Thunder player. Each finished "comic book-like" illustration was customized to suit each player's submitted individual taste in various artistic concepts and themes.
Portions of proceeds raised through the silent auction will benefit The House of Doodle in Stockton, providing under-served youth with art classes and programs in and around the San Joaquin County region. The House of Doodle is a creative company specializing in comics, illustrations, concepts designs and sculpture from Villanueva.
Villanueva specializes in instruction with conceptual design, sculpture, comic book illustration, basic drawing, painting and digital drawing and coloring.
