SAVANNAH, GA - The Gnats scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to come from behind to defeat the Lexington Legends 5-4 Monday night in front of 2,502 fans at Historic Grayson Stadium. The Gnats (20-11/59-41) won their fifth straight game, all by one or two run margins.

Down 4-2 entering the sixth, SS Wilfredo Tovar singled and RF Rafael Fernandez doubled to put the tying runs at second and third. DH Albert Cordero lined a single into left field chasing home both runners to even the game at 4-4. Cordero landed at second on the throw home. Two batters later, Cordero scored the go-ahead run when Lexington 1B Tyler Burnett couldn't handle third baseman Mike Kvasnicka's throw on 1B Joe Bonfe's chopper. Cordero, who was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and three RBI, is now hitting .333/.365/.449 in 18 games in July.

The Savannah bullpen of Chase Huchingson and Ronny Morla combined on four scoreless innings with two strikeouts and no walks to allow the Gnats the comeback opportunity. Huchingson improved to 6-2 with the win, while Morla picked up his eighth save.

Lexington (11-20/46-55) built a 3-0 lead after three innings. In the first inning, 3B Mike Kvasnicka doubled home two runs and his single into right field in the third made it 3-0.

The Gnats drew within a run at 3-2 with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Fernandez singled and C Blake Forsythe doubled to put runners at second and third with no outs. Cordero's sac fly scored Fernandez and then 3B Aderlin Rodriguez's RBI groundout brought home Forsythe.

Lexington DH Ben Heath clubbed a long home run to leftfield in the fifth to give the Legends a 4-2 lead.

The Gnats finish their seven-game home stand Tuesday, when they send LHP Angel Cuan (8-1, 3.26) to the hill against Lexington RHP Ruben Alaniz (5-8, 4.93). First pitch is scheduled for 11:05 am on Camp Day. Gates will open at 10 am. The game will be broadcast on sandgnats.com only.
