Three Reasons to Attend Winterhawks Pacific Office Automation Opening Night
September 28, 2021 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Portland Winterhawks News Release
Portland, Ore. - We are less than a week away from Saturday, October 2! Do you have your tickets to join us yet? Do you have your red Winterhawks apparel ready?
If not, here are three reasons why you should:
VIEW "RED OUT" TICKET PACKAGE (Ticket + Logo T-Shirt for just $35!)
1) It's the first regular season game Winterhawks fans can attend in 573 days!
It will be a celebration inside Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Remember that feeling you get when the team scores a big goal? Swinging your arm and cheering when T.N.T. plays? The crunch of a big hit against the glass? That will all come back to you this weekend.
Never been to a game? No problem, but we'd love for you to give us a try. Hockey's a game that's easy to enjoy live. There's always something going on. There's fast-paced action on the ice that will hold your attention. There's great songs playing when there's a break in the play. There's entertainment all night long. If you're purchasing a ticket for yourself, we promise that you won't be let down.
Since it'll be our first time hosting fans at a game since March of 2020, we understand it may be your first time at a sporting event since then, too. The Rose Quarter has new policies in place to ensure the safety of our fans all season. So rest your vocal cords now because Saturday, October 2nd will be a night to remember.
2) We're raising banners.
We're celebrating our winning before we even have the chance to win. Champions of both the U.S. Division and Western Hockey League's regular season during the 2019-20 campaign, we elected to hold off on lifting the banners to the rafters until you could be at Veterans Memorial Coliseum to see it yourself.
Get to your seats early so we can honor the 2019-20 Scotty Munro Champion Portland Winterhawks. And don't get us wrong, the Hawks are hungry for more. When we drop the puck this weekend for the 2021-22 season, we'll be starting our quest to win yet another championship for the Rose City.
3) A Battle with Seattle.
We open our home slate against our rival in Seattle. The Thunderbirds are in town for the first of three October meetings and the ice will inevitably be full of NHL talent.
Last season, Portland won five of seven meetings against Seattle and the Hawks are looking to start the new season series with a win on Saturday night.
We hope to see you at the VMC!

The Portland Winterhawks begin their 46th season of play on October 1 and will host Seattle on October 2 for the team's Pacific Office Automation home opener.
Season Ticket Memberships, 20-Game Plans and Flex Plans are now on sale for the 2021-22 season. Season Ticket Memberships are the best way to never miss a second of the action, including the same great seat to all 34 Winterhawks games at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Can't commit to all 34 home games? 20-Game Plans are the way to go, guaranteeing 20 thrilling evenings at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. To learn more about all available ticketing options, visit Winterhawks.com.
The all-new Flex Packs provide even more flexibility, giving you ten ticket vouchers to use any way you want at any regular season game. Ten tickets to one game? Two tickets to five games? Five tickets to two games? Doesn't matter, any way you want.
