
Two Re-Assigned by Hurricanes

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Tuesday that they have re-assigned 2005-born defenseman Noah Chadwick and 2004-born goaltender Harrison Meneghin.
Chadwick, 16, was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the second round (38th overall) of the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft. The product of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan suited up in three pre-season games with the 'Canes collecting one assist with a minus-1 rating. The 6'2, 173-pound defenseman will report to the Saskatoon Contacts U18 club for the 2021-2022 season. He appeared in six games with the Contacts in 2020-2021 recording two penalty minutes.
Meneghin, 17, was undrafted in the WHL Draft but was signed by the Hurricanes out of training camp. The South Surrey, British Columbia product appeared in two exhibition contests with the 'Canes posting an 0-1-0-0 record with a 4.82 goals against average and an .808 save percentage. The 6'2, 161-pound netminder will suit up with the Delta Hockey Academy U18 club made three appearances with Delta's U18 program in 2020-2021 posting a 2-1-0-0 record with a 2.59 GAA and a .925 SV%.
The Hurricanes now have a total of 23 players on their roster, including two goaltenders, 10 defenseman and 13 forwards.
The 'Canes open the 2021-2022 regular season on Friday when they welcome the Calgary Hitmen in the Dairy Queen Home Opener at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre.
