Three Players Reassigned to Road Warriors, One Released

Greenville, S.C. - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced today the team has been reassigned defensemen Sam Noreau, Mike Marcou, and goaltender Jeff Malcolm. The Road Warriors have released defenseman Paul Arnott.

Noreau, 20, played five games in his stint with the Hartford Wolf Pack which began on December 26th. In those five games, the Montreal, Quebec native accumulated six penalty minutes. Prior to being recalled by the Wolf Pack, Noreau played 23 games with the Road Warriors.

Marcou was called up the Wolf Pack for two games before being reassigned to the Road Warriors. The Kings Park, New York native totaled two penalty minutes and a +2 rating with Hartford. The 24-year-old has played in 25 games with the Road Warriors this year collecting nine points (4G, 5A).

Malcolm, 24, played five games with Hartford before being reassigned to the Road Warriors. During that span, the Lethbridge, Alberta native played 316 minutes amassing a 2.85 goals against average and a .888 save percentage with one win. Malcolm has played seven games with the Road Warriors this season with a record of 3-3-1. He registered a 1.96 goals against average and a .940 save percentage.

Arnott, 26, played in five games with the Road Warriors after signing from the Bloomington Thunder of SPHL. In those five games, he registered no points and a -2 rating.

In a separate transaction, the Road Warriors placed forward J.M. Rizk on the 21 day IR retroactive to January 3rd. The earliest he can return is January 23rd.
