
Three Homers Not Enough to Overcome Tulsa

North Little Rock, AR - Despite three hitting three home runs, the Arkansas Travelers dropped their third straight game, falling to the Tulsa Drillers 7-3 on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park in front of a crowd of 5,633. Tulsa matched the Travs three homers with three of their own as well as a three-run rally in the fifth inning without the aid of a homer to take control of the game. Tulsa starter Andre Jackson worked five innings to pick up the victory, striking out seven Travs. Four Driller pitchers combined for 14 strikeouts on the night. Penn Murfee took his first loss of the season giving up six runs over 4.2 innings.
Moments That Mattered
* After O'Keefe had put the Travs in front, Murfee came out and retired the first two hitters in the third but then Donovan Casey and Ryan Noda connected for back-to-back homers to put the Drillers on top.
* Tulsa opened their half of the fifth with four consecutive singles to add on to their lead and put Murfee on the ropes.

* The three homers tonight came after the Travs were held without a homer in the first three games of the series.
* Arkansas went 0-4 with runners in scoring position and is now just 1-39 in the series in those situations.

The Travs will try to snap their three game slide on Saturday night handing the baseball to right-hander Devin Sweet (1-0, 3.45) as he pitches against righty Michael Grove (0-2, 10.22). First pitch is at 6:10 and it is team photo giveaway night and then kids run the bases afterwards. The game will also be broadcast on AM 920 the Sports Animal, the First Pitch App and milb.tv.
