Three And Whoa Volcanoes Start 2019 Strong
June 29, 2019 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Salem-Keizer Volcanoes News Release
KEIZER, OREGON - The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (NWL, San Francisco Giants) started the 2019 season strong with three wins over the Boise Hawks and Volcanoes Stadium attendance averaging nearly 2,500 fans.
"We see every season that the Northwest League has deep talent on every team, so three wins in a row is a nice start but there's plenty of baseballs ahead," said Jerry Walker, Volcanoes Co-Owner. "That said, there is strong chemistry with this team early on, which is the hardest part of starting a short season on the right foot. This week showed a lot of positive pieces to build on."

The energy at Volcanoes Stadium equally is off to a promising start to 2019; something the Front Office is focused on, said Mitche Graf, Volcanoes President.
"Our coaches and athletes are fully focused on winning as a team on the field. Our Front Office is fully focused on winning over our customers at Volcanoes Stadium, at the Volcanoes Store and any social media/event touch point," said Graf. "Opening weekend only affirms the work ahead and the tremendous opportunities ahead for Volcanoes Nation."
