Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
Despite hitting two home runs on Friday at Gesa Stadium the Tri-City Dust Devils (7-8) fell 9-4 to the Everett AquaSox (8-7). A six-run top of the second inning for the AquaSox gave Everett a lead they hung on to the rest of the night.
Jordy Barley and Tre Carter each had solo home runs for the Dust Devils. Barley's blast was his team-high second of the season. In addition to his home run Carter also added a triple in the loss. Matthew Acosta's 12-game hitting streak came to an end on Friday. Acosta's hit streak was the longest in the Northwest League so far this season.
Left-hander Jason Blanchard will start the middle game of the three-game series on Saturday night. Everett will counter with right-hander Juan Mercedes.
There will be a post-game fireworks show after Saturday's game at Gesa Stadium presented by HiLine Engineering and Fabrication. Great seats are available by calling the team's office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
