Thorns FC are in search of their 100th win as a club today. They would become the first team in league history to reach this milestone with a victory. Portland and Orlando will open the regular season against each other for the fourth time in 2023. Thorns FC also hosted the Pride for their home opener in 2016 and 2017, while playing on the road in their opening match of the 2019 season against Orlando. This is the most common season opening pairing in NWSL history. Portland is 11-2-2 all-time against the Pride with a record of 6-1-0 in regular season matches at Providence Park.
