Portland Thorns FC News Release

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC announced today that the team's home match against Seattle Reign FC on Wednesday, July 22, at Providence Park is sold out. With a crowd of 21,144, the club will break its own National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) attendance record of 19,123 fans set on Aug. 3, 2014, against the Houston Dash.

Thorns FC have led the league in attendance in each of their first three NWSL seasons, drawing crowds of better than 16,000 four times since 2013. In addition, a sold-out crowd Wednesday will rank as the second-largest, stand-alone crowd in the history of women's professional soccer in the United States. It ranks second only behind the inaugural match of the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) between the Bay Area CyberRays and Washington Freedom on April 14, 2001, at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

Single-game tickets for Portland's final three regular-season home matches at Providence Park against the Boston Breakers (Aug. 5), Chicago Red Stars (Aug. 9) and the Washington Spirit (Aug. 30) are still available.

Tickets for the team's remaining home matches are available by calling (888) 736-6849 or online here. In addition, fans also are able to purchase tickets at the Providence Park box office. The Providence Park box office is open Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
