Thomson and Gelsinger Join Blazers

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have added 15-year-old defenseman Jordan Thomson and 16-year-old forward Brayden Gelsinger to the roster. Both players will be with the team through the end of the playoffs.

Thomson was the Blazers 1st round pick, 4th overall in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. He played for the Midget AAA Southwest Cougars of the Manitoba Midget Hockey League. Thomson finished the season with 6 goals, 23 assists and 29 points in 35 games. Thomson's Southwest Cougars lost in the final of the TELUS Cup West Regional qualifier yesterday, 5-1 to the Saskatoon Contacts.

Gelsinger was listed by the Blazers in September and played Midget AAA with the Tisdale Trojans in the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League. The forward finished the season with 22 goals, 20 assists and 42 points in 41 games.
