Dates Confirmed for Americans' 2012 Conference Semi-Finals Series

KENNEWICK, WA - After advancing out of the opening round of the playoffs for a fifth straight season, the Tri-City Americans are pleased to announce their Conference Semi-Finals schedule for the 2012 WHL Playoffs.

Tri-City will match-up with their longtime U.S. Division rivals, the Spokane Chiefs, in the second round, best-of-seven series. It will be a re-match of last year's conference semi-finals series, which the Chiefs won 4 games to 2 to advance onto the Conference Finals. This will be the sixth time the two WHL rivals have met in the post-season, including the third time in the last five seasons, with Spokane holding a 19-10 advantage over the Americans.

Games 1 and 2 will be played at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, starting on Friday, April 6th. Game times are 7:05 p.m. Fans are encouraged to check the Americans' website, www.amshockey.com, in the coming days for further playoff information. Tickets are on sale now through all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Toyota Center box office, all Fred Meyer outlets, or online at ticketmaster.com.
