
Thompson Placed on Disabled List

SALT LAKE CITY (May 9, 2008) - The Salt Lake Bees announced today that the club has placed right-handed pitcher Rich Thompson on the disabled list with right shoulder nerve inflammation.
Thompson, 23, has appeared in nine games for the Bees in 2008, owning a 1-0 record with a 4.38 ERA. The Australian native has also tossed in two games for the Angels this season. Thompson signed with the Angels as a free agent on February 13, 2002.
The 26-7 Salt Lake Bees continue an eight-game home stand tonight at 6:35 p.m. against the Albuquerque Isotopes. For more information about Bees season tickets, which start as low as $7 per game, please call 325-BEES.
