
Doug Davis Scheduled To Make Second Start For Tucson Saturday

Tucson, AZ - Diamondbacks lefthander Doug Davis is scheduled to make a Major League rehabilitation start for the Sidewinders on Saturday, May 9th at 6:30 p.m. at Tucson Electric Park. The outing will be Davis' first since undergoing successful thyroid cancer surgery on April 10th. Davis is 1-1 with the Diamondbacks so far this season with a 3.72 ERA in two starts.
The former 13-game winner is in his second season in the Diamondbacks organization after being acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers on November 25th, 2006. Davis has ranked in the top 10 in the National League in games started three times, including 2005 when he led all NL pitchers with 35 starts.
