(London, ON) The Windsor Express staved off another London comeback to slow the Lightning 104-100 at Budweiser Gardens in London on Sunday afternoon.

London (5-3) brought the game within one with 31 seconds left, but Windsor (5-1) made six clutch free throws down the stretch to secure the victory, their fifth in a row.

DeAndre Thomas made two shots from the line and Quinnel Brown made the last four.

Thomas dropped a game high 26 points, followed closely by Brown with 25.

One of they keys to victory for Windsor was limiting Lightning forward, Marvin Phillips to only seven points after scoring 25 or more in the first two meetings this season.

"In my opinion, DeAndre Thomas is the best five-man in the league." says Windsor Express Head Coach and Director of Basketball Operations, Bill Jones, "He just needs to learn how to control his emotions and once he doesn't that, he's unstoppable.

Al Stewart was the leading scorer for London, putting up 20 points. Emmanuel Little had 18 in the loss.

The winning streak keeps Windsor's lead in the Central Conference at one game, and Jones says they continue to take things one game at a time.

"We have a big game against Moncton coming up on Wednesday." Jones responded, "We refuse to lose at home, so we just have to go out there and find a way to be successful."

Windsor and Moncton tip off at 7:00pm on Wednesday, November 26th at the WFCU Centre.

Individual, season and flex pack tickets are available at www.windsorexpress.ca.
