
Rainmen Secure Convincing Road Win over Miracles

The Halifax Rainmen put in a dominant second half effort to secure an impressive 106-86 victory over the Miracles on Sunday afternoon in Moncton. With the victory Halifax improves to 3-2 on the season.
A slow start saw Halifax fall behind by as much as 13 points in the second quarter, but a strong push closed the gap to three, giving Moncton a slight 51-48 lead heading into the second half. The second half was all Rainmen as they poured on the offense and tightened up their defensive game, holding Moncton to 35 points over the final two quarters. Halifax finished the third with a 74-62 lead and never looked back over the final 12 minutes of play.
Tyrone Watson had a double double, scoring 22 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for the Rainmen and both Seiya Ando and Mike Martin put up 19 points each. Moncton was led by Tramar Sutherland who had 16 points in the game and Stanley Robinson added a double double, with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The Rainmen are back in action Saturday, November 29th as we return home to the Scotiabank Centre for a very important match with the Island Storm at 7pm. This game is Mayor Mike Savage's End Hunger Game, with a very special ticket price of $10.
