London Lightning News Release
(LONDON, Ontario) - Sunday afternoon, in front of 6,657 fans at Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning were defeated by the Windsor Express, 104-100.
This was the second loss in a row for the Lightning and the team now stands at 5-3.
"We didn't start the game well today", said Head Coach Carlos Knox. "Our shot selection was poor, we took some quick shots and down the stretch we missed some key defensive assignments."
Al Stewart led the Lightning in scoring with 20 points: "We can beat this team, but we can't come out flat in the beginning. We need to throw the first punch and play with intensity from the start and that will be our focus going forward."
Emmanuel Little had 18 points and six assists and John Hart scored 17.
DeAndre Thomas led all scorers with 25 points.
The Lightning play their next game at home on Thursday, November 27 against the Moncton Miracles. The Lightning have invited all secondary school students to attend the game in the upper bowl for just $5.00, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m.
