Round 2 comes to XFINITY Arena this weekend!
Your U.S. Division Champion Silvertips are off to the second round of the WHL Playoffs to face the reigning Western Conference Champion Portland Winterhawks! The 'Tips once again have home ice advantage in the series, which opens with back-to-back games this weekend at XFINITY Arena. Game 1 is Friday at 7:35 pm ("Game D" in your Silvertips playoff package) and features another "Hockey Happy Hour" with $5 beers and food specials from when the Southeast arena doors open at 6 pm until the puck drops. Game 2 follows Saturday at 7:05 ("Game E" in your playoff package) as the 'Tips and 'Hawks continue to fight for a berth in the Western Conference Finals. Don't have your tickets yet? Three Silvertips make 2015 NHL Draft rankings
The NHL's Central Scouting Bureau released its final rankings of North American skaters ahead of the 2015 NHL Draft this week, and three Silvertips made the list. Noah Juulsen topped the Everett players, improving from 38th in January's midterm rankings to 22nd in the final rankings. Tristen Pfeifer rose from 179th at the midterm to 135th on the final list, while Kevin Davis was also included in the rankings at #163. A total of 56 WHL players made the final rankings, the most of any single league in the world. Click Here to read more.
'Tips Top Chiefs in Triple Overtime!
Tuesday's series-clinching Game 6 victory over the Spokane Chiefs became the longest game in franchise history before Brayden Low's goal at 3:43 of the third overtime decided it in Everett's favor. Carter Hart also made 53 saves as the Silvertips earned their first playoff series win since 2007.
