After an exciting three game road trip featuring big wins in both Ottawa and Peterborough, the Hounds are back on the road this Wednesday for their final two games before the Christmas Break. The Greyhounds will travel down to Barrie (Dec. 17) and Kitchener (Dec. 18) looking to continue a strong stretch of play where they have won five of six games in the month of December.
Heading into Week 13 of Ontario Hockey League action, the Hounds sit at the .500 mark with a record of 14 wins, 14 losses and three overtime losses, good for 31 points.
The Hounds sit in 3rd place in the West Division and have no crept within five points of the 2nd place Sarnia Sting.
Team Captain Blake Speers paces the Hounds attack and is averaging a point-per-game with 10 goals and 21 assists (31 points) in 31 games played.
Bobby MacIntyre has now pitched in with points in 8 of his last 9 games (7g, 8a). The Whitby, ON product is now two point shy of his career-best 24 points tallied one season ago.
In roster news, it is possible that forward Tim Gettinger will return to the line-up after missing the last four games with an upper body injury.
Meanwhile with goaltender Brandon Halverson presently at the U.S. National Junior Camp for the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championship, the Hounds have re-called Dougie Newhouse to join the team for the two games this week. Newhouse was selected by the Hounds in the 12th Round of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.

Thursday December 17@ Barrie Colts
Barrie Molson Centre, 7:30 p.m.
The Greyhounds finish off their season series with the Barrie Colts this Thursday at the Barrie Molson Centre. The two clubs met earlier this season (Nov. 7) at the Essar Centre, resulting in a 4-1 loss for the Greyhounds. Tim Gettinger had the lone Greyhound goal in that contest.
Barrie recently swung a pair of trades acquiring G David Ovsjannikov from the Saginaw Spirit along with Sooite Anthony Stefano (forward) from the Windsor Spitfires.
The Colts will be minus G MacKenzie Blackwood (CAN) and Julius Nattinen (FIN) who are attending their respective World Junior Hockey Championship camps.

Friday December 18 @ Kitchener Rangers
Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, 7:30 p.m.
The Hounds travel back to Kitchener this Friday to cap off the first half with Game 33 of the season.
The game features the 2nd meeting in three weeks against the Rangers. They last met November 29th when the Rangers narrowly edged the Hounds 5-4.
Bobby MacIntyre, Colton White, Keigan Goetz and Blake Speers provided the Hounds offense.
The Rangers have a pair of players, G Luke Oplilka and D Ryan MacInnis, presently attending the U.S. Camp for the World Junior Championship wile Dmitrii Sergeev is among 29 players at the Team Russia prep camp.
