Augusta GreenJackets News Release
Augusta, GA - There may be no more baseball in the CSRA this summer, but one popular Thursday tradition will remain for at least one more week at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The GreenJackets will host a "Thirsty Thursday Tailgate" this Thursday September 2nd beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the Budweiser Party Pavilion at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
The event is a watch party for the kickoff of the college football season as the University of South Carolina Gamecocks will take on the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. Kickoff of the game is at 7:30 p.m. while ballpark gates open at 6 p.m.
Just like during GreenJackets Thursday home games, domestic draft beers and soft drinks will be available for only a dollar. Admission at the event is $5 and tickets can be either purchased ahead of time or at the box office on the night of the event. The party runs through the end of the football game.
In addition to the watching game on television, attendees will be able to play beer pong and cornhole on the party deck.
For tickets call (706) 922-WINS or show up at the Lake Olmstead Stadium box office on the night of the event.
