Charleston, WV (August 21, 2011) - Tomorrow the West Virginia Power will wrap up the Thirsty Thursday Concert Series at Appalachian Power Park with a Neil Diamond Tribute featuring The Black Diamond. The concert series is presented by the West Virginia Lottery and features free admission and $1.00 draft beer.
The Black Diamond, a.k.a. Theron Denson,ÃÂ was inspired by the great Neil Diamond and has performed his tribute to the legendary performer everywhere. Theron not only has quite an impressive "show biz" reputation, but his fun style has garnered him fans all over the world.Since the "birth" of his show, he has experienced many career highlights including an invitation and appearance on ABC Television's, Jimmy Kimmel LiveÃÂ show, being profiled in a national supermarket, checkout stand magazine, and a brief appearance on NBC television's, America's Got Talent.
Theron has performed for political diginataries, including a U.S. Presidential candidate. He has been fortunate enough to share billing with (or open for) some of the best known names in music such as The Pointer Sisters, Sheena Easton, Brad Paisley, The Village People, Taylor Dayne and Boyz II Men, just to name a few.
Admission for the Thirsty Thursday Concert Series is free. Gates open at 6:00 PM with music beginning at 6:30 PM from 600lbs. of Sin. The Black Diamond will take the stage at approximately 8:00 PM. For more information please contact the Power Front Office at 304-344-BATS (2287).
