Red Deer Rebels News Release
The Red Deer Rebels are excited to announce that another member of its 2021 Western Hockey Prospects Draft class has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement with the club.
Zane Saab, from Edmonton, is currently playing with OHA Edmonton U18 Prep where he has 10 goals and seven assists through 19 games this season.
The 6'1" 175 lb. forward recorded six points in five games for Team Alberta at the 2021 WHL Cup, helping lead them to a silver medal at the event.
"Zane is a player we had highly rated the whole year," said Rebels Associate General Manager Shaun Sutter. "He's a very competitive player, everyone witnessed it at the WHL Cup. He's a player who can score, has good size and good instincts for the game."
The Rebels have now come to terms with three players selected at the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft on December 9, including Saab, first-round selection Ollie Josephson (forward) and second-round pick Chase Wutzke (goaltender).
