Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL are proud to announce an affiliation agreement with the Boston Bruins. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Bruins have assigned forwards Chris Collins, T.J. Trevelyan, and Mark Tobin to Long Beach.
"This affiliation puts a big feather into the cap of the Long Beach Ice Dogs," Said Head Coach and General Manager Rick Adduono. "The Ice Dogs are very fortunate to have such high quality players sent to us in Collins, Trevelyan, and Tobin. The affiliation will give the other Ice Dogs' players an opportunity as well. Having played in the Boston organization for three years, I am very excited to become a part of the Bruins organization once again and look forward to the solid future of the Boston and Long Beach relationship."
"The Ice Dogs felt that it was very important to be associated with an NHL club," Said Executive Partner Ted Foxman. "The Ice Dogs could not be more thrilled to have an original six team in the Boston Bruins be affiliated with Long Beach this season. The Ice Dogs fans will certainly enjoy watching the Bruins' prospects play here in Long Beach."
