Indy Eleven News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - Indy Eleven is proud to welcome The Canterbury Football Club of Fort Wayne and Indianapolis-based Glendale Soccer Association as the two newest members of the Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program.
The Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program is designed to increase accessibility to soccer in communities and encourage players, coaches, referees, and parents to grow their passion for the sport by supporting the recreational soccer programs at member clubs.
"Indy Eleven thanks The Canterbury Football Club and Glendale Soccer Association for partnering with Indiana's Team. Just as we welcome these clubs into the Indy Eleven family, we look forward to becoming an important part of theirs by offering opportunities that will encourage their players, coaches, and volunteers to be lifetime fans of the sport we love," said Greg Stremlaw, Indy Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer.
The Canterbury Football Club (CFC) and Glendale Soccer Association (GSA) are the eighth and ninth clubs to join the grass roots initiative that will grow to annually support more than 15,000 young players at the recreational level across the State of Indiana.
Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program partners currently include:
The Canterbury Football Club (Allen County)
Circle City Futbol Club (Marion County)
Cutters Soccer Club (Monroe County)
Danville Optimist Youth Soccer League (Hendricks County)
Glendale Soccer Association (Marion County)
Impact Soccer Club (Hancock County)
Jasper Youth Soccer (Dubois County)
South Central Soccer Academy (SCSA) (Johnson County)

"The Canterbury Football Club is about excellence. This fits nicely with Indy Eleven's mission, and we are proud to be part of their Youth Soccer Program," said Richard R. Waterfield, Chairman, CEO & Head Coach of The Canterbury Football Club.
"Glendale Soccer is excited to join Indy Eleven's Youth Soccer Program," said Jonathan Levenshus, Volunteer President of the Glendale Soccer Association. "Indy Eleven's approach to youth sports mirrors what we provide to the hundreds of young athletes in our program -- a safe, enjoyable, and positive recreational soccer experience. Glendale Soccer's coaches, players, and families will benefit from this new partnership, which opens the door to additional resources for our club and fun activities for our community."
As part of the program, each registered recreational player will represent Indiana's Team by wearing variations of Indy Eleven jerseys at their respective clubs and receive tickets to an Indy Eleven match. Assistance to member clubs includes items such as technical coaching expertise via the Indy Eleven Technical Staff and Youth Development Program; access to additional educational resources for players, parents, coaches, and referees; and the creation of revenue-generating partnership opportunities. In addition, Indy Eleven will host an annual Soccer Festival with each club to bring its community together in celebration of the sport.
