San Antonio Missions News Release


The Missions return home after their first winning road trip of the season. It didn't start well for the Missions however losing four out of five to the third place Frisco RoughRiders. However, the Missions made their first ever trip into Whataburger Field and was it ever successful. The Missions swept the Hooks in five straight games and now are 9-0 against the Hooks this season.

Monday, May 23 La Prensa Night at the Ballpark San Antonio Missions vs. Tulsa Drillers

First pitch thrown at 7:05 pm. Gates open at 6:00 pm.

Tuesday, May 24 Peanut Tuesday's San Antonio Missions vs. Tulsa Drillers

Also, every remaining Tuesday night home game during the 2004 season will be Texas Peanuts for Baseball Night at the park. Any fan presenting a proof of purchase of a bag of in-shell peanuts will be allowed to purchase two (2) outfield reserved seats (value $6.00 each) for the price of one ticket (plus a $.50 City of San Antonio facility access fee on the second ticket). This promotion is being brought to Missions fans by the Texas Peanut Producers Board and the National Peanut Board. First pitch thrown at 7:05 pm. Gates open at 6:00 pm.

Wednesday, May 25 General Mills Military Appreciation Night San Antonio Missions vs. Tulsa Drillers

The Missions and General Mills have teamed up again this year to honor the men and women in the United States Armed Forces. All local bases will be given free tickets to attend the game by General Mills and the San Antonio Missions.. First pitch thrown at 7:05 pm. Gates open at 6:00 pm.

Thursday, May 26 Northwest Vista Presents the Blues Brothers Time Warner Cable Value Night San Antonio Missions vs. Wichita Wranglers

Northwest Vista College presents the Blues Brothers. Jake and Elwood will take over the ballpark and entertain fans with their song and dance routines all night long. It's Thursday and that means Time Warner Cable Value Night. Every Thursday this season the Missions will have Dollar Hot Dogs, Dollar Pizza, Dollar Coca-Cola and Dollar Beer all night long. Plus you can bring in your Time Warner Cable bill and receive $2.00 of any ticket in the house. First pitch thrown at 7:05 pm. Gates open at 6:00 pm.

Friday, May 27 Frost Bank 100th Anniversary Cap Night Star Wars Night at the Ballpark

San Antonio Missions vs. Wichita Wranglers Frost Bank and Time Warner Cable present 100th Anniversary Caps to the first 2,000 fans in the ballpark. Also, people might notice that the ballpark will be taken over by the Evil Empire, and we don't mean the Yankees. Star Wars characters will infiltrate the ballpark and be lead by the Sith Lords, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Darth Ballapeno. The first 1,000 fans will also receive Thundersticks brought to you by Independence Carpet Care. Following the game all kids 13-and under are invited to run the bases brought to you by 4-Points Gym. First pitch thrown at 7:05 pm. Gates Open at 6:00.

Saturday, May 28 Chex Mix Salty Snacks and KENS 5 Fireworks San Antonio Missions vs. Wichita Wranglers After the game fans will be able to sit back and enjoy the best Fireworks Spectacular brought to by Chex Mix Salty Snacks and KENS 5. First pitch thrown at 7:05 pm. Gates Open at 6:00.

Sunday, May 29 Click it or Ticket Night at the Ballpark San Antonio Missions vs. Wichita Wranglers

The Texas Department of Transportation has been rewarding drivers across the area with $1.00 tickets to the game on Sunday during the state wide Click It or Ticket campaign for wearing their seatbelts. Following the game all kids 13-and under are invited to run the bases brought to you by 4-Points Gym. First pitch thrown at 4:05 pm. Gates open at 3:00 pm.
