 Bismarck Larks

Thank You, Fans

August 12, 2019 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Bismarck Larks News Release

Larks fans, 0n behalf of the players, coaches, and entire front office, we would like to say:

THANK YOU for choosing the Bismarck Larks to make summer memories with your friends and family. We have a great team that works really hard, but without YOU packing the seats every night, cheering, and smiling, there would be no one to have FUN with. YOU are the heartbeat of this team and we want to say thank YOU for celebrating our firsts, favorites, and even some of our final moments this season.

Season 3 was a year of new performers - the Touchmark Larkettes, Oscar the Grouch, every Baby Bird, and of course Merifeather Lewis - all who played a HUGE part in making the ballpark FUN this summer.

We introduced Bismarck's Greatest Showman, Matt Wurnig, who together with his sister Kaitlyn and our Promotion Conductors made our Season 3 entertainment the best yet. We celebrated memorable moments with Hidden Hometown Heroes, Home Runs for Life, and our veteran of the year who drove home in a new Ford F-150 truck! We even experienced our first tarp pull which resulted in the ultimate slip and slide! Rain or shine, we wanted to make sure you had FUN!

Thousands of fans lined-up every game to enjoy the returning fan-favorite activities - fireworks, food and of course FUN! The firework shows lit up the sky, the YMCA Family Fun Zone was always bouncing, and our all-inclusive ballpark buffet kept everyone's belly happy.

I also want to give a HUGE thanks to our seasonal employees. Our fans rave about our staff. These are the individuals you see each night. Our parking lot greeters, wristbanders, concession workers, and Family Fun Zone attendants care so much about making sure fans have FUN. We couldn't do it without them.

Which sadly brings me to some of our finals for this season. 2019 will mark the last season of our inaugural coach, Sean Repay and Mr. Lark himself, outfielder Wyatt Ulrich. Not only did these two get the Larks 100 wins, they also represented what it means to be a Bismarck Lark - hustle, positivity, and having FUN. We will miss them both dearly and they will always be a part of the Larks family.

And most importantly, boy did we use FUN to make a difference in the lives of players, fans, local businesses, and the community. Because of YOU, the fans, we:

Raised 3,600 lbs of food for the Great Plains Food Bank and 800 lbs of dog food for local animal shelters

Donated over $42,000 through ticket fundraisers, the First International Bank and Trust Miracle Minute, 50/50 raffle, and sponsor promotions

Generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for local businesses through our sponsor promotions, Fan MVP Card redemptions, etc.

SOLD OUT 97% of every single ticket at Dakota Community Bank and Trust Field this season. Whether it was Monday or Sunday, our players and fans got to experience what a SOLD-OUT game is all about.

So again - THANK YOU. Thank you for making Season 3 one to remember. We're excited to make Season 4 even better. It will be a new chapter on the field with a new coach and as I hope you know by now, our team is committed to continually pushing the envelope on how we can use even more FUN to make the biggest difference in the lives of our fans, local businesses, and community.

Until then - enjoy the rest of your summer with your families (make sure to renew your ticket packages 🙂 ) and we'll see you in 2020.

Sincerely,

John Bollinger

Larks General Manager
