Game One
Texas 2 at Milwaukee 5 4/14/11
The Texas Stars were defeated by the Milwaukee Admirals 5-2 in Game 1 of the West Division semifinal on Thursday night in front of 2,587 fans at the Bradley Center. Admirals' rookie Gabriel Bourque scored two goals and set up three others to lead Milwaukee to a 1-0 series lead. Linemate Chris Mueller added two goals and two assists for four points in the win. In all, the two combined for nine points against Texas. Milwaukee goalie Jeremy Smith made 22 saves for the win. Texas goalie Richard Bachman made 13 saves in two periods of work, taking the defeat. He was pulled in favor of Tyler Beskorowany after surrendering four goals. Stars forwards Aaron Gagnon and Mathieu Tousignant each had a goal in the loss.
Game Two
Texas 3 at Milwaukee 1 4/16/11
The Texas Stars defeated the Milwaukee Admirals 3-1 in Game 2 of the West Division Semifinal on Saturday night in front of 6,819 fans at the Bradley Center. Trailing 1-0 heading into the second period, the Stars scored the final three goals to tie the series 1-1. Texas goalie Richard Bachman stopped 29 shots in his first career Calder Cup Playoff victory. Texas centers Travis Morin and Aaron Gagnon, as well as defenseman Philip Larsen each had a goal in the win. Right wing Raymond Sawada set up the final two goals for the Stars. Milwaukee goalie Jeremy Smith made 26 saves in the defeat. Defenseman Teemu Laakso scored the Admirals' lone goal.

Staying out of the Box...
The Texas Stars were the most disciplined team in the AHL during the regular season, averaging 12.8 penalty minutes per game. The Milwaukee Admirals were second lowest in the league at 13.10 during the regular season. Through the first two games, Texas has taken eight minor penalties for 16 total penalty minutes and an average of eight minutes per game. Milwaukee has taken ten minor penalties through the first two games for an average of ten minutes in penalties per game. Texas is tied with Hamilton and Binghamton for the lowest total in the league. Hershey is tops in the league at 20.50 minutes per game.
Defense - Offense
The Stars are close to their regular season numbers through the first two games of the playoffs. Texas was seventh in the AHL at a 2.63 goals against average during the regular season. The Stars are eighth in the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs with a 3.00 goals against average. Milwaukee was third in the league with a 2.43 goals against average through the first 80 games of the year. The Admirals are seventh at a 2.50 goals against average in the Calder Cup Playoffs. The Stars have scored four goals in two playoff games for a 2.00 average. The team was 26th overall in the regular season with a 2.66 goals for average. Milwaukee finished 16th in the league with a 2.83 goals for average. The Admirals have six goals in two playoff games for a 3.00 goals for average.
Home Ice Playoff Drought
The Stars will play their first playoff game at home since dropping Game Five of the Calder Cup Finals to Hershey, a 2-1 overtime defeat for Texas on June 9th. Counting the 2010 Calder Cup Finals and the 2010 Western Conference Finals, Texas has dropped four straight games on home ice in the playoffs. The Stars last home-ice win in the playoffs came on May 21st, a 2-1 overtime win against Hamilton. Texas finished 6-5 at Cedar Park Center in the playoffs in 2010 after going 24-13-1-2 in the 2009-10 regular season. This season, Texas went 22-13-3-3 at home in the regular season. Milwaukee finished the regular season with an AHL record 16 straight games with at least a point on the road. From January 15th until the end the season, the Admirals posted a 10-0-4-2 record away from home. For the regular season, Milwaukee went 21-10-4-5 on the road.
