-- LAST WEEK'S RESULTS --
January 5 at Ontario Reign, 3-2 Overtime Loss:
The Texas Stars scored a pair of goals late in the third period to knot the game and force overtime, but Kevin Gravel's one-timer from the right circle ended things and handed the Ontario Reign a 3-2 win on Tuesday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena in front of 6,814 in attendance. Brett Ritchie and Jason Dickinson scored the late goals for Texas to earn the overtime point. Justin Auger finished with three points for the Reign.
January 8 vs. Chicago Wolves, 3-1 Win:
Two first period goals and a 23-save performance from Philippe Desrosiers were the difference for the Texas Stars in a 3-1 win over the Chicago Wolves on Friday night at Cedar Park Center in front of a crowd of 4,363. The win was the first at the AHL level for Desrosiers, who lost his shutout bid with 56 seconds remaining in regulation on the Wolves' only goal. Jason Dickinson tallied two assists to extend his point streak to five games for the Stars, and Texas scored twice on the power play to snap a three-game winless skid.
January 9 vs. Chicago Wolves, 5-2 Win:
Brett Ritchie scored twice and Philippe Desrosiers turned aside 48 shots in net as the Texas Stars swept their weekend set against the Chicago Wolves with a 5-2 win in front of 6,261 fans at Cedar Park Center on Saturday night. The Stars gave up 50 shots, but Desrosiers kept the Wolves' offense in check as he earned his second career win in as many nights. Justin Dowling finished with a goal and two assists. The Stars also extended their point streak to three games as they closed out their season series against Chicago winning three of the four matchups.
