CHARLOTTE, NC - Sprint Cup Series drivers Aric Almirola and Ryan Newman will headline the Checkers' annual Race Night, presented by Lead 2 Real Estate Group, on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Both drivers will be available for autographs on the main concourse from 5-5:45 p.m. before taking part in the ceremonial puck drop for the 6 p.m. game against the Chicago Wolves at Bojangles' Coliseum. Coliseum doors will open at 4:30.

A portion of ticket proceeds from the evening will benefit Victory Junction, a non-profit organization located in Randleman, North Carolina, that enriches the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illness by providing life-changing camp experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering. Victory Junction was founded by racing's famous Petty family, as was Almirola's Richard Petty Motorsports race team.

Additional highlights surrounding the night include a seat cushion giveaway for the first 500 fans courtesy of Lead 2 Real Estate Group, a giveaway of Bojangles' mystery cards worth anywhere between $1 and $100 and several in-game elements that will celebrate the history of racing in Charlotte.

The Checkers' Race Night festivities will actually begin one day prior on Friday's Pit Crew Night, presented by Charmin, that will feature an appearance by the champion No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing crew. That night's game, also against Chicago, begins at 8 p.m.
