CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that the team has released goaltender Allen York from his professional tryout contract.
York, 24, signed a PTO with Texas on November 2nd and he made his Stars debut that night with a dazzling 26-save shutout of the Iowa Wild in a 5-0 victory at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The Wetaskiwin, Alberta native appeared in six games for Texas, posting a 3-1-1 record with a 2.71 goals-against average, a 0.910 save percentage and one shutout.
