Texas Signs Kevin King to Tryout Agreement

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced Wednesday the team has signed forward Kevin King to a professional tryout agreement.

King, 26, recently signed with the ECHL's Greenville Swamp Rabbits after finishing a four-year career at the University of Calgary. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound forward tallied 95 points in 112 games during his collegiate career (33-62-). King is a Calgary, Alberta native and played five seasons of junior hockey in the Western Hockey League. He recorded 221 points (95-126=221) for the WHL's Calgary Hitmen from 2006-2011, and attended training camp with the Dallas Stars in 2010.

King appeared in five AHL games with the Syracuse Crunch during the 2011-12 season.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center.
