Goals:
- Maxime Fortunus takes a slap shot from the point that goes past the left shoulder of Connor Hellebuyck at 3:12 of the first period.
- Rob Bordson finds Zach Palmquist in the slot who fires one past Hellebuyck at 12:41 of the first period.
- From just above the goal line, Jordan Schroeder makes a perfect wrist shot up top past Hellebuyck while on the powerplay at 1:17 of the second period.
- Off of a rebound, Rob Bordson takes a wrist shot from the side boards that gets by Hellebuyck at 9:43 of the second period.
- Dan DeSalvo races to the puck behind the net and passes it to Patrice Cormier who one-times it past Steve Michalek at 10:50 of the third period.
- Ryan Olsen sets up Nic Petan in the slot who one-times a slap shot past Michalek at 17:18 of the third period.
Highlights/Notes:
- Patrice Cormier scored his 13th goal of the season and is now tied for third on the team in goals. His nine goals at the MTS Centre tie him with Chase De Leo for most goals at home. He now has four goals in six games against the Wild this season, the most on the team. Cormier has now scored in back-to-back games and has four goals and two assists for six points in his last eight games.
- Nic Petan scored his ninth goal of the season. He is now tied with Chase De Leo for the team lead in points with 32. They are both tied for 19th in AHL rookie scoring.
- Brant Harris (Florida-ECHL), Darik Angeli (Manchester-ECHL), and Dan DeSalvo (Tulsa-ECHL) each made their Moose debuts after signing professional tryout agreements earlier in the day.
- Dan DeSalvo recorded his first career AHL point in his first career AHL game with an assist on the goal by Patrice Cormier.
- Connor Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 18 shots. Eric Comrie stopped all 23 shots he faced in the 28:09 he played in relief. Comrie leads all AHL goaltenders in saves with 1,173.
- This was the first game of the season series that was decided by more than one goal.
- The Moose now have a 1-4-0-1 record against the Wild this season. The two teams will twice more in Iowa (Mar. 30/Apr. 1) in the season series.
The Moose hit the road for a two game series against the Grand Rapids Griffins starting on Friday, Mar. 11 at the Van Andel Arena at 6:00 p.m. CT.
