Prince George Cougars News Release
PRINCE GEORGE - What a weekend for Terik Parascak!
The Cougars rookie forward scored five goals and added two assists this past weekend - to earn the WHL's Rookie of the Week honour.
The 17-year-old tallied four goals and two assists on Friday against the Victoria Royals which was Parascak's first career hat-trick and 4 goal game. Parascak is the first Cougar to score four goals since Koehn Ziemmer did so in March of 2022. The following night, Parascak recorded a goal, helping the Cougars to a 5-3 win and a four-point weekend. Parascak leads the WHL in points (12), goals (8), and short-handed goals (2).
"He's a great young prospect for the Cougars and eventually the NHL," commented Jim Playfair following the Cougars' 5-3 win on Saturday against the Royals.
Parascak and the Cougars return to the CN Centre to kickstart a five-game home-stand beginning tomorrow night against the Kelowna Rockets. You can secure your seats HERE.
