Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today that the team will hold its annual "Teddy Bear Toss" on Saturday, December 10, 2005 when the Everblades host the Augusta Lynx at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena.

All fans who attend the game are encouraged to bring a new, stuffed toy with them. When the Everblades score their first goal of the game the fans will be asked to toss their toy onto the ice. All the stuffed toys collected during the Teddy Bear Toss will be donated to area South West Florida charities.

A large portion of the toys that are collected will be donated to Toys-for-Tots and the Children's Advocacy Center of Collier County. In addition, a portion of the toys will be hand delivered by Everblades players to kids at the Children's Hospital of South West Florida.

Over the previous seven years, Everblades fans have donated over 27,000 stuffed toys for SW Florida charities. "Our fans are second to none when it comes to donating items for local charities," Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush said. "In the past when we've called on our fans to donate stuffed toys for those who may be less fortunate during the holiday season, they've come through in a big way, and I expect this year's Teddy Bear Toss to be no different."

The Everblades return to action on Friday, December 2 when they host the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena! Everblades 2005-06 group tickets and individual game tickets are on sale now!
