Niagara IceDogs News Release

The Niagara IceDogs are proud to announce that the Canadian National Junior Team will be using the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines as its base of operations from December 15th - 19th.

Team Canada will be moving into the arena December 15th and will be on the ice at noon that day. They will practice at 11am each day after that and each practice will last roughly an hour and a half (NOTE- times subject to change.)

These sessions will be open to the public, free of charge! The concessions will be open so spend your lunch hour at the Meridian Centre watching the best junior hockey players Canada has to offer!

Don't miss this opportunity to watch the stars of tomorrow such as Connor McDavid and Sam Reinhart as they prepare to gear up for the annual World Junior tournament, which starts Boxing Day.

For a list of all the players invited to the selection camp, which starts December 11th, visit www.hockeycanada.ca.

The camp roster features seven returning players from last year: Zachary Fucale, Chris Bigras, Josh Morrissey, Frederik Gauthier, Connor McDavid, Nic Petan and Sam Reinhart.

Team Canada is vying for its first medal since 2012 when they won bronze, so the players will be working hard in practice to end that drought this year!
