OHL Announces Disciplinary Action

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of two separate disciplinary review incidents which took place in games last weekend.

Game of Friday, December 5th, 2014 - Niagara at Ottawa

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the result of a review of an incident which took place in Ottawa on the 5th of December, 2014 involving the 67's and the visiting Niagara IceDogs Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a checking to the head infraction involving player Sam Studnicka of the Ottawa 67's Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Sam Studnicka shall be suspended for eight (8) games, dating from but not including the game of Friday, December 5th, 2014.

Game of Sunday, December 7th, 2014 - Sault Ste. Marie at Sarnia

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the result of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Sarnia on the 7th of December, 2014 involving the Sting and the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was an interference infraction involving player Michael Bunting of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Michael Bunting shall be suspended for ten (10) games, dating from but not including the game of Sunday, December 7th, 2014.
